Pastry Sous Chef
McKenzie Champion grew up in a small town in South Dakota. When she was in high school she worked for a bakery and fell in love with working in the kitchen. This inspired her to go to culinary school. McKenzie graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Minnesota, with a degree is Pâtisserie and Baking. McKenzie then moved to Vail, Colorado, where she met and worked with Chef Cristian and Pastry Chef Jennie. Next, she moved to Tennessee where she gained experience working in a café and bake shop as well as a wholesale bakery.
“I am super excited to help Chef Jennie and Savoy in opening the pâtisserie and coffee shop. I have a passion in coffee and everything sweet. I am so excited to open Savoy and to create beautiful seasonal desserts.”
